 Final Evaluation - Results

In the final evaluation of the project, 70 students, 58 parents, and 27 teachers from each partner country participated. All of them answered several questions assessing the achievement of the project goals. We have analyzed the survey responses and presented the final results:

The Erasmus project Unity in Diversity yielded positive results in multiple areas.

STUDENTS

Students reported improved ICT skills and greater confidence in using English, with many feeling more comfortable communicating in the language. The experience strengthened their ability to collaborate in teams, work effectively with peers from other countries, and form lasting friendships. Additionally, the program fostered a deep interest in different cultures, helping students develop a sense of European awareness and appreciation for cultural diversity, broadening their perspectives and nurturing a spirit of inclusivity and unity.


These responses indicate that the project had a strong positive impact on students, particularly in making international friends (84.3%), gaining valuable experiences (75.7%), and improving English skills (72.9%). European awareness and ICT skills also improved for a significant number of respondents.



A vast majority of students felt that the project had a meaningful impact on their school experience



This data indicates that nearly all students  (97.1%) are aware of the Erasmus+ Project, suggesting high familiarity among the surveyed group.



PARENTS

Many parents indicated that their children participated in the project for several key reasons:
  • English Language Improvement: The majority of responses show a strong focus on enhancing English language skills.
  • Cultural Understanding: Parents valued the opportunity for their children to gain a deeper understanding of different cultures, particularly those of the partner countries (Poland, Turkey, Greece, and Romania).
  • Building Friendships: A significant number highlighted the chance to form friendships with students from other countries.
  • IT Skills: Several parents mentioned their children's interest in enhancing IT skills through the project.
  • New Experiences and Motivation: Many families expressed appreciation for the new life experiences and increased motivation to learn foreign languages.

 

2. Impact on Language Learning Motivation

  • High Motivation: Most parents rated their children's motivation to learn foreign languages as 5 (very high) or 4, indicating that the project positively influenced their enthusiasm for language learning.

3. Communication Skills Improvement

  • Strong Communication Skills: The majority of responses rated their children's communication skills as 5 or 4, showing a perceived improvement after participating in the project.

4. Cultural Awareness and Knowledge of Erasmus+ Program

  • Awareness of Partner Cultures: Many parents felt well-informed about the cultures of the partner countries, with most responding that they knew “a lot” or “some” about them.
  • Knowledge of Erasmus+: A substantial number reported that they were aware of the Erasmus+ program and its benefits, with some expressing that they learned even more through the project.

6. Additional Comments

Many comments reflected positive sentiments about the project's overall value, with families expressing gratitude and satisfaction:

Positive Experience: Many noted that their children had a wonderful experience, often calling it “special” or “perfect.”

Interest in Future Programs: Some parents expressed interest in future opportunities to participate in similar projects, reflecting their satisfaction and the perceived value of the experience.


The "Unity in Diversity" project significantly benefited students by enhancing their English and IT skills, fostering friendships across cultures, and deepening cultural awareness, especially of partner countries (Poland, Turkey, Greece, and Romania). Parents reported high motivation in their children to learn foreign languages and noted improved communication skills. Many also observed increased tolerance and open-mindedness as a result of the project. Overall, families expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the experience, with several eager to participate in similar initiatives in the future.











TEACHERS

Teachers reported substantial improvements in their cooperative skills, with many indicating an enhanced ability to work effectively with colleagues from other countries. Organizational and language skills also showed marked improvement, with a majority of educators rating these areas highly. Additionally, the program greatly increased their awareness of European cultures, fostering greater tolerance and understanding. Educators also reported a significant boost in their ICT skills, particularly with tools like Padlet, Canva, and PosterMyWall. Overall, the program contributed to positive changes in their teaching methods, enriching the classroom experience and providing new opportunities for students to engage with English and diverse cultures.

Improvement in Key Areas:

  • Cooperative Skills:
    • A significant number of educators (around 90%) reported improvements in their ability to collaborate with colleagues from other countries, with many rating the improvement as 5 (excellent).
    • Many educators expressed that the program enhanced their ability to work in teams, highlighting the importance of cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Approximately 85% of respondents noted improvements in their organizational skills, with most ratings being 4 or 5, showing a solid positive impact on their ability to plan and manage tasks.
  • Language Skills:
    • A large portion of educators (around 90%) reported an increase in language proficiency, especially in English. Many respondents indicated a rating of 5 (significant improvement), showcasing the linguistic benefits of the program.
  • European Awareness:
    • European awareness received high ratings, with over 80% of educators expressing that they gained a better understanding of European cultures and educational systems through the project.
  • ICT Skills:
    • Many educators (approximately 75%) indicated significant improvement in their ICT skills, especially regarding tools like PosterMyWall, Padlet, and Canva, with ratings typically between 4 and 5.

  • Tolerant Attitude & Open-mindedness:
    • Most respondents (90%) stated that the program contributed to their increased tolerance and understanding of different cultures, a crucial aspect of fostering a more inclusive classroom environment.
  • Impact on School Life:
    • A large majority (around 85%) reported that the project brought positive changes to their school life, including more opportunities for students to use English, engage with different cultures, and experience new learning opportunities.

3. New Experiences & Connections:

  • New Experiences:
    • The majority of educators (90%) mentioned that they gained valuable new experiences from the program, which they will incorporate into their teaching practices.
  • Connecting with Teachers:
    • A significant number (over 80%) appreciated the opportunity to connect with teachers from other countries, helping them expand their professional network and exchange teaching practices.

























Evaluation Summary

Feedback from everyone involved shows that this project had a positive impact on students’ school experience, making learning more interesting and enjoyable. Students reported that they grew personally, gained a stronger sense of European identity, and formed lasting friendships with peers from other countries. They developed useful skills, especially in technology, and learned about other cultures.

For parents, this shows how the project helped their children grow beyond academics, encouraging them to be open-minded, aware of other cultures, and well-rounded individuals.

For teachers, the program was a chance to connect with educators from other countries, share ideas, and see the positive effect on students’ motivation and personal growth.

Overall, this evaluation confirms that the Erasmus+ project successfully built a sense of community, learning, and cultural understanding among students, parents, and teachers. This shared experience not only benefited each participant but also helped create a more welcoming and supportive school community.

Kick off meeting - mobility to Poland.

The first meeting of students and teachers from countries participating in the international project "Unity in Diversity" co-financed by the European Union is behind us. On October 8-13, 2023 our school had the honor of hosting 15 students and 6 teachers fro m   Türkiye , Greece and Romania. We have been preparing for this event for a very long time, in which the entire school community was involved. It was an organizational meeting - The Kick off meeting, which was also intended to familiarize guests with the traditions of Polish cuisine and emphasize the role of health prevention, which is an important topic for everyone, regardless of where they live.   On Sunday, we welcomed guests at the airport in Krakow. Apart from us, there was also a wonderful sun waiting for them, which is not always so obvious at this time of year. The students participating in the project are children aged 10-12, so this time we decided to stay overnight in a hotel where they remained under the
